About the Texas Star Scholarship
Texas Flame And Smoke loves being a vendor at various Texas Rodeos, fairs and livestock shows each year and we look forward to visiting with our new and established customers. Starting in 2020, it has been our honor and pleasure to sponsor the $1000 Texas Star Scholarship to benefit deserving young individuals from the eight-county area of the Brazos Valley each year. Our sincere gratitude goes to the Brazos Valley Fair & Rodeo Association for administering this scholarship and arranging the awards ceremony to the successful candidates.
For the Texas youth who take part in the activities, these events are more than entertainment and competition. The participants and volunteers are building character and stability for their futures. Family, friends, Ag teachers, County Agents, and organizations like 4H and FFA are instrumental in sparking an interest in these individuals to build a stable and honorable future, and to be a positive influence on society. We realize that the sacrifice of time and money, physical effort, and persistent dedication are what these students have invested in their future education and citizenship. We are blessed to be able to support some of these individuals in their future education by sponsoring this scholarship.
